How it Happened 

The Tigers kick the game off strong with offensive chances as Deandrea Johnson attempts two shots on goal at the 12th & 15th minute which were both blocked by the Panthers starting goalkeeper. Seconds later, Lina Miranda netted the first goal of the game as the Tigers lead 1-0.   

After fouls and substitutions, Sydney Pike will attempt to net one in the goal, though was saved at 42 minutes. Dakota Wesleyan enters halftime with a 1-0 lead, as Isabella Gregg protects the net with 3 saves as starting goalkeeper.  

Entering the second half, Alyssa Crnic attacks early with a shot on goal in the 50th minute, though the shot was saved. Kazia Ohayon carries the momentum for the Tigers and finds the back of the net for a 2-0 lead at the 51st minute. The Panthers tried to stop the spark with a corner kick, which Isabella Gregg blocked with ease to keep the lead.  

At the 70th minute, Nathalie Ramos sends a shot just wide of the goal for the Tigers. Following, Deandrea Johnson comes back with two shots on goal, though were both shots were saved.  

York University attempts to find the back of the net with seven shots, although was unable to execute any comeback. Dakota Wesleyan secures the 2-0 victory as Deandrea Johnson leads with two shots, giving the Tigers six total in today's competition.

The Tigers returns home to Mitchell, S.D. to go against Waldorf University next Saturday at the Pepsi-Cola Complex, for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
