How It Happened

The Tigers dropped behind early in the game as the Broncos scored the opening goal in the seventh minute to lead 1-0. Shortly after, DWU found themselves down 3-0 after Bronco goals in the 11th minute. The Tigers were aggressive in defending, but in the wrong space as they fouled HC in the box, awarding them a penalty kick that resulted in a goal. Hastings gained one more goal in the 33rd minute, pushing the score to 5-0. Before halftime. The Tigers took one shot in the first half compared to the Broncos 14 shots.

The Tigers allowed five more goals in the second half of the match, while only putting one more shot on goal. DWU did not record a single corner kick in the match compared to the 14 Hastings corner kicks. Starting goalkeeper Isabella Gregg faced 13 shots on goal in the first half, making eight saves. While Taylor Stermon faced 11 shots on goal in the second half recording six saves.
