WOMENS SOCCER FIGHTS WITH (RV) JAMESTOWN, FALLS 3-0.

Mitchell, S.D. Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer goes hand-in-hand with (RV) Jamestown in conference matchup, but ultimately falls 3-0 at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex on Wednesday, October 26th

How it Happened 

The Tigers and the Jimmies fight back-and-forth in attempt to gain the early offensive momentum. Annika Enevoldsen receives a good look on goal but is saved by the Jimmies goalkeeper. Jamestown eventually finds the back of the net for the first goal of the game in the 32nd minute to claim the 1-0 lead by halftime.  

To begin the second period, Nathalie Ramos looks to get the Tigers on the board with a shot on goal, but ultimately saved in the 53rd minute. The Jimmies race to regain their offensive momentum with multiple attempts on goal, while also extending its lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 62nd minute.  

Gregg registers a huge save off the hands and over the goal to protect the net for the Tigers in the 68th minute. Delaney Horan attempts to propel the Tigers late in the contest with a shot on goal in the 88th minute but was denied. After another goal, Jamestown secures the 3-0 victory.  

Tiger goalkeeper Isabella Gregg finishes the match with six saves to keep the offensive attack from the Jimmies to a minimum.

"Tough game against the top team in the conference. I'm proud of how the ladies played, but once again we struggled to finish our chances on goal."
