Mitchell, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan women's soccer team faced a tough opponent today in a matchup against Black Hills State University, falling 6-0. The heat did not play into anyone's favor, as temperatures rose into the high 90's which forced both teams to make multiple substitutions. The Yellowjackets pushed the pace of the game and found their rhythm, forcing the Tigers to play defense for most of the match. When the Tigers did have possession, they were unable to capitalize, only getting nine shots off in the game, while their opponent's fired 24 shots in the match. Annika Enevoldsen and Hannah Petrucci tried to get the offense going for the Tigers, as the pair got five shots off against the Yellowjackets intense defense. The Yellowjacket goals were scored in the 6', 38', 48', 60' twice, and the 80' minute. The goal keepers for the Tigers saw plenty of action, splitting the playing time between Isabella Gregg and Abigail Colgrove. Gregg had six saves while Colgrove had three.
