WOMENS SOCCER FALL TO NO. 20 HASTINGS 5-0

Hastings, Neb –

DWU Women's soccer team traveled to Hastings Nebraska for their conference game of the season against number 20 ranked Hastings Broncos. The Tigers were shutout by the Broncos, 5-0.

How It Happened –

The Tigers looked for an offensive spark early but could not find one. Of the five shots the Tigers did take, three were on goal only to be saved by the Bronco goalie. Brooke Bullington, Jade Wesley, and Linda Humble were the Tigers that had their shot attempts thwarted away by the Bronco's goalkeeper and defense. Tiger goalkeeper Abigail Colgrove had her work cut out for her in the match, as Hastings fired 20 shots on goal. Colgrove was able to save 15 of those shots, however the Broncos offense was able to sneak 5 goals past the Tiger defense.

Up Next –

The Tigers will host Concordia College Moorhead September 18th in Mitchell, S.D. Game time is set for 6:15 P.M. at Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.
