Women Tigers Unable to to score in close game

Mitchell, S.D. -- The Women's Soccer Tigers faced a tough match against the Midland University Warriors, ultimately falling 1-0. Despite creating several scoring opportunities, particularly in the final five minutes, the Tigers were unable to find the back of the net. Noting, a potential goal from #27 Hannah Petrucci was not counted due to an offsides call by the center referee, despite no flag from the line referee.

The Tigers displayed strong defensive efforts, limiting the Warriors to just one goal in the first half. This performance is encouraging, especially considering the Warriors recently drew a tie with Hastings College, the top team in the GPAC.

The Tigers will next host the Briar Cliff University Chargers on October 23, Wednesday, at 3:00 p.m. at the Pepsi-Cola Complex in Mitchell. The Chargers currently hold a 4-3-1 record in the conference, sitting in third place, setting the stage for a potential opportunity to rise in the current standings.
