
Yankton, S.D. – The Tiger Track & Field teams were all over the top-10 record books at the Mount Marty Invite. Finally, getting some good weather the Tigers did not disappoint with 10 total top-10 all-time finishes and marks in the DWU record books. The athletes also had personal bests all across the board. The highlight of the meet was when Darby Deffenbaugh launched a 49.45m throw in the hammer throw to qualify for nationals with a National "B" Standard. This will be Deffenbaugh's first appearance at nationals and now join thrower teammate, Lila Gronseth. Cole Holden for the men's track team made a big splash in his first meet with a javelin throw of 51.16m which was good for 4th all-time. The other Tiger athletes to get top-10 honors was Lila Gronseth, Abbigail Magnuson, Taliyah Hayes (two events), Justin Sorensen, Hunter Shanks and Ryan Kienzle.
