Mitchell, S.D. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Track & Field Scholar-Athletes on Wednesday. The Dakota Wesleyan Women's Track & Field team earned seven total athletes on the list. That list includes Abbigail Magnuson, Abby Ferris, Adaya Plastow, Annika Vermeulen, Ashtyn Evans, Darby Deffenbaugh and Lila Gronseth.
The 2023 list features 1076 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
