Tigers Break PRs at Concordia Classic

The Dakota Wesleyan Tigers traveled to Seward, Nebraska to take part in the Concordia Classic Saturday. A few Tigers found season best and personal records (PR) in the meet. Hailey Oswald, Dani Deffenbaugh, Ava Ludwig, and Abby Magnuson. 

Track Events:

Sprints-

  • Hailey Oswald (So.) ran in her first collegiate 60m. Strong start for the sophmore who ran a 8.58. Oswald also ran in the 200m. Posting a PR with a 28.67.
  • Dani Deffenbaugh (So.) ran in the 200m. Setting a seasonal best with a 29.38.
  • Ava Ludwig (Fr.) keeps finding progress as she hit a PR in the 60m hurdles with a 10.2 finsih.

Jumps-

  • Ava Ludwig (Fr.) had a solid day all around as she also PR in the high jump event. Adding a 1.50m jump that meet and moving up to #6 in the top-ten list. 

Throws- 

  • Abby Magnuson (Grad.) competed in the shot and weight throw. In shot she took 2nd overall, in seeded flight, with a 13.62m throw. In Weight, Unseeded, Magnuson threw a PR of 14.80m. and finished in 4th. 
  • Samantha Kludt (Jr.) threw a 9.38m throw in shot for the unseeded flight. 

Conclusion:

The Tigers return next week on Saturday, February 1st as they host the Alumni Open. Welcoming their alums back to DWU.
