Mitchell, S.D.- The Dakota Wesleyan Tigers welcomed their alums back home today. As some alums took part in the meet to compete, others enjoyed watching and cheering.
Track Events:
Sprints-
Hailey Oswald (So.) ran in the 60m. The sophomore hit a PR of 8.56. Oswald also ran in the 400m. Posting a season best with a 1:04.
Dani Deffenbaugh (So.) ran in the 200m. Setting a seasonal best with a 29.00.
Ava Ludwig (Fr.) keeps finding progress as she hit another PR in the 60m hurdles with a 10.00 finish. Ludwig is also now #6 in the women's 60m hurdle list.
Jumps-
Dani Deffenbaugh (So.) competed in her first long jump of her track career. Her best jump was a 4.42m. She looks to grow as she finds more opportunities in her new event.
Ava Ludwig (Fr.) also PR'd in the high jump event. Adding a 1.51m jump that now moves her to #4 in the indoor high jump top-ten list.
Throws-
- Abby Magnuson (Grad.) competed in the shot and weight throw. In shot she tied her #1 mark in school history by throwing a 13.97m. In weight she threw a 15.47m throw which moves her up to #3 in women's indoor weights record books.
- Samantha Kludt (Jr.) threw in the shot and weight throw at the alumni meet. In shot she threw a 9.62m throw. In weights she hit a season best of 13.19m.
Looking Ahead-
The Tigers return next week on Friday to compete at the Mt.Marty Last Chance Invite. A week before GPAC Conferences.
