Gainesville, Fla. – Dakota Wesleyan sent two athletes to Gainesville, Florida, for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championship: Abby Magnuson (Grad.) and Ethan Watson (Fr.), both competing in shot put. For Magnuson, it was her third appearance at indoor nationals, while it was Watson's first.

Magnuson returned home as a two-time All-American, earning her first indoor title. She threw 13.75 meters, placing 6th overall. Originally ranked #10 in the NAIA, her achievement became even more special as she surpassed expectations.

Watson, in his first nationals appearance, finished with a throw of 15.21 meters, placing 25th overall.

"I'm super proud and happy for Abby to bring home her second All-American medal," said Head Coach Ryan Chase. "No one works harder than her, and she is committed to being the best she can be in all facets of life. Coming in ranked 10th and finishing with a 6th place medal is an incredible accomplishment."

"Ethan capped a strong freshman indoor season as well," Coach Chase continued. "Though it wasn't his best performance at nationals, he gained valuable experience that will help him moving forward."

Coach Chase also gave a shout-out to Coach Caden Milmine, saying, "A huge thank you to Coach Milmine for doing a great job coaching both of these athletes and for assisting in their success!"

Both athletes showcased their talent on the national stage. Magnuson made a significant achievement in her final indoor season, and Watson gained invaluable experience in his first national champions
