Track & Field competes at SDSU Indoor Classic

Leading the way last weekend was the women's Distance Medley Relay team as they broke a 14-year old record that was a time of 14:07.13 minutes. The group of Sage Pulse, (Kimball, S.D.), Samantha Schuyler (Winner, S.D.), Mckenna Rogers (Saint Michael, Minn.) and Delanie Larson (Gettysburg, S.D.) set the new record with a time of 13:11.60.
Lydia Gerber (Canton, S.D.) took fifth place in the triple jump with a leap of 36-10.5 feet. The jump is the second-best mark in school history and a personal best for Gerber.
In the men's high jump, Jared Rabenberg (Britton, S.D.) won the event following a jump of 6-9.75. Matthew Campbell (Gregory, S.D.) set a school record in the weight throw with a toss of 57-11. Tyson Jenkins (Clark, S.D.) took sixth place in the shot put that included five of the top 25 NCAA Division I throwers. Jenkins set a new school record with his toss in the shot put at 57-8.
Calob Jones (Aberdeen, S.D.) hit a personal record in the shot put with a mark of 50-1, and in the weight throw with a toss of 49-10. Other members that set personal records include Brendan Langbehn (Lennox, S.D.) in the mile, Devin Rihanek (Plankinton, S.D.) in the 800-meter run, Kelsie King (Mission Viejo, Calif.) in the mile, Savannah Schmidt (Plankinton, S.D.) in the mile and Rogers in the 800-meter run.
The Tigers will compete in the GPAC Championships Friday and Saturday in Seward, Neb.
