
ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team matched its win total from a year ago before the midway point of the season with its eighth victory of the season Tuesday in Aberdeen, S.D.
The Tigers (8-5) topped Presentation College in three sets. The win was the third of the season for DWU over the Saints, completing a season sweep. The line score was 27-25, 25-14, 25-23.
Junior Sammy Fluck (Becker, Minn.) led the DWU offense with 12 kills, while adding three total blocks on defense. Junior Lauren Tadlock (Rapid City, S.D.) picked up another double-double, continuing her impressive run this season. Tadlock finished with 11 kills and 16 digs.
Junior Shelbie Budmayr (Belle Fourche, S.D.) continues to improve with each match, finishing with nine kills.
Senior Maggie Stehly (Sioux Falls, S.D.) racked up a team-high 20 digs, while junior Michelle Van Epps (Lakefield, Minn.) added 37 assists and 10 digs.
The Tigers return to Great Plains Athletic Conference play against Briar Cliff University at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D.
