MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team returned home to take on Great Plains Athletic Conference foe Dordt College, dropping a three-set match Tuesday night at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D.
Set scores were: 25-18, 25-15, 25-21 in favor of the Defenders.

Despite the fast start for DWU, the Defenders (19-3, 7-1 GPAC) took the first set. Heeg tallied two service aces in a row to tie the third set. Moments later, Fritz recorded two kills to widen the DWU lead. However, Dordt would go on to take five of the final six points to win the third set and the match.
