ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The No. 3 Northwestern College volleyball team defended its home court on Thursday night in Great Plains Athletic Conference action, topping the Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team in straight sets in Orange City, Iowa.
Set scores were: 25-11, 25-19 and 25-14 in favor of Northwestern.
Set one didn't go as planned for the Tigers, recording 11 points in the set. The Tigers gave it all they had in the second set, but were unable to come away with the victory.
Rebecca Frick (Yankton, S.D.) recorded 10 kills, while Bridgett Knobbe (Norfolk, Neb.) added 19 assists. Sara Herman (Reliance, S.D.) had 11 digs in the loss.
The Tigers (12-11, 1-7 GPAC) hit the road and step out of conference play to take on the University of Saint Mary and York College at 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday in York, Neb.
