Peru, Neb. – RV Dakota Wesleyan volleyball collects two more wins at the bobcat classic. The Tigers took down York college and Mayville State in three sets each, with 101 kills between the two matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Game One:

  • Dakota Wesleyan tallied twice as many kills as York in game one, 44-22, with a hitting percentage of .370 to .049 percent
  • Ady Dwight and Mariah Gloe led the Tigers in kills with 12 each and hitting percentages of .500 and .611, respectively
  • DWU's best set was in the third when they hit .577 percent and held the Panthers to a .00 hitting percentage
  • The Tigers tallied 64 digs, ten service aces, and six solo blocks in the match against York.
  • Madeline Else and Callie Slagter notched three service aces each in the three-set win
  • Hanna Reiff led the team in digs with 26

 

Game Two

  • The Tigers continued to hit well in game two with a .328 hitting percentage
  • Dakota Wesleyan kept the Comets hitting percentage to just .138 with 32 kills on 116 attempts
  • DWU collected 57 kills against Mayville State as Dwight and Gloe led the team with 17 each
  • Notching nine blocks as a team, Gloe tallied three block assists of her own against the Comets
  • The Tigers kept the Mayville attack to a minimum, allowing just 32 kills for a .138 hitting percentage
