HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers quickly fell behind in the opening set of the match, going down 4-8.
- It wasn't until the 18-18 tie that DWU gained its first lead of the set 19-18 on an Ady Dwight kill.
- CUNE responded with two points of their own to regain the lead 20-19.
- The Tigers shut the door on the Bulldogs, going on a 6-2 run for the 25-22 opening set win.
- Concordia put together a six-point run in the middle of the second set, taking a three-point lead 18-15 after two DWU attacking errors.
- Dakota Wesleyan kept it close and tied set-two four more times before grabbing the extended set-two win 28-26.
- Hitting errors hurt DWU in set three, as the Bulldogs prevented the sweep, winning set-three for a 2-1 DWU match lead.
- After a set-four loss by the Tigers 25-19, DWU was not able to match the five-point run by the Bulldogs in the fifth set.
- In the final set, Dakota Wesleyan hit .227 percent with seven kills, but allowed Concordia to hit .333 percent with 12 kills.
