MITCHELL, S.D. – Freshman Keera Lacock, a standout wrestler from Rossville, Kansas, has made history as Dakota Wesleyan University's first-ever national qualifier in women's wrestling.
Lacock delivered an impressive debut season, finishing with a 14-7 record and an outstanding 11 pins. Along the way, she captured 1st place at the York Open, secured 3rd at both the Spire Classic and the GPAC Conference Tournament, and earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors.

Lacock will now compete on the national stage at the 3rd Annual Women's Wrestling National Championship, held March 14-15, 2025, at Park City Arena in Wichita, Kan.
"I am incredibly proud of Keera's resolve this season. To cap it off as DWU's first national qualifier and to have the opportunity to battle for All-American accolades is both earned and well deserved," said John Lynch, head coach of Dakota Wesleyan Wrestling.
As she prepares to take on the nation's best, Lacock carries the pride and support of Dakota Wesleyan University and the wrestling community. Her journey marks a significant milestone for the program, inspiring future generations of female wrestlers to pursue excellence on the mat.
