"Spencer is so deserving of being recognized as an All-American," head football coach Ross Cimpl stated. "Everyone knew that he was a huge threat for us offensively and on special teams, which meant he was going to get a great deal of attention and he still produced in a huge way! Spencer is a great athlete, a tremendous worker and a leader that made a tremendous impact on our team during his time at DWU. There are not many times you get a chance to coach a guy like Spencer Neugebauer, and I am very thankful we had that chance."
