General: The All-Siouxland Conference First Team member joins the DWU men’s basketball team from Sioux Center, Iowa.

High School: Averaged 18.8 points, three rebounds, three assists and 1.5 steals per game and shot 45.3 percent from three-point range his junior season … averaged 15.6 points, three rebounds, 2.5 assists and one steal per game, while shooting 41.3 percent from three-point land his sophomore season … named IBCA All-Substate First Team his junior season … member of the All-Siouxland Conference Second Team his sophomore year … participated on the football and golf teams.

Personal: Born Oct. 20, 1999 … son of Todd and Julie Arends … a psychology major.
