PICK'S THOUGHTS
"Great day on the course for the Tigers. It's always a good start to the season when you can get that first win right away, and the guys did just that. I am proud of Carpenter, who broke the single-day school scoring record with 64 strokes and winning the individual title. We started 17 shots back as a team, so it was a team effort to get the come-from-behind victory. All the guys did a great job bouncing back and taking advantage of the course conditions."
