DWU Women's cross country had two racers in this meet. The top finisher was Abby Hasart who finished in 90th out of 357 racers. Hasart's time landed her 8th all-time in DWU history, with the whole season still ahead of her. Caley Murphy finished with a time of 22:45.46 for the Tigers. Head Coach Rosado had this to say about the women's team "The women executed the plan to a "T" with freshman Abby Hasart walking away with a lifetime PR and the #8 Women's 5k in school history. Caley Murphy also had a strong first half which I was very pleased with and I'm confident that she'll have her break out performance sooner than later."
In the men's race, Caleb Sayler came out as the top Tiger. Sayler finished with a time of 21:24.43 to grab the 107th spot out of 358 racers. Hunter Shanks finished next for the team with a 22:46.79 time. Freshman Gage Dietterle finished his first collegiate race with a time of 24:46.20. Coach Rosado said this about the men's race "The men had an aggressive plan that would call for them to race uncomfortable early and all signs show that when the meets matter, we'll be right where we need to be."
Coach Rosado's Thoughts
"We came into this meet with the mindset to execute a race plan that I believe would set us up for future races. I think we did that well; we didn't put a lot of emphasis on time or place but to just execute."
