HINKER HIGHLIGHTS TIGER WOMEN’S GOLF AFTER DAY TWO CLIMBING FIVE SPOTS
Newton, Kan. – Dakota Wesleyan women's golf held strong a fourth overall as a team on day two despite cutting 10 strokes from their game in the second round. Megan Hinker's game was on point in the second round, keeping all double bogey or worse shots off her scorecard.

How It Happened
Hinker opened her event shooting eight over par after round one yesterday, posting seven bogey or worse shots with one birdie and 10 par shots. The second round was nothing like the first for Hinker. On day two, she was rolling, on the front nine, she posted two bogey shots, six par shots and then headed to the back nine after a birdie shot on the ninth. The back nine for Hinker was also clear as she scribed one birdie shot, seven par shots, and one bogey as she flew up the leader board landing in second place after 18 holes.
Austreim had a better first round than second with nine holes bogey or worse and only a pair of birdie shots. The second round for Austreim, carded four double bogeys, and seven bogey shots as she was two strokes better in the first round than the second, dropping her one spot to 14th overall.
Moncur climbed two spots in the second round of the event, keeping all triple bogey or worse shots off her scorecard. Carding a pair of birdie shots and five par shots, she was able to cut five strokes off her card on day two placing her in 15th overall.
Johnson held steady at 23rd after the second round in Kansas, shooting a +27 both days. Johnson was able to scribe six par shots and 17 bogey shots between the two days. Koepke was shortly behind Johnson in 24thplace but carding a +5 on the fourth hole hurt her in the end as she was only able to pick up eight par shots between the two rounds.
