DWU VOLLEYBALL SET TO TAKE ON IN-STATE RIVAL DSU
Mitchell, S.D. – No. 13 Dakota Wesleyan Volleyball returns home this week for a match against in-state rival Dakota State. DWU and DSU will battle in the Christen Family Athletic Center on Tuesday, October 5th. The junior varsity will begin at 6 p.m., then the varsity match will begin at 7:30 p.m..
ABOUT THE TIGERS
- DWU enters the weekday match up with a 16-2 overall record, 6-1 in GPAC play, and a 4-0 record at home.
- The Tigers split last week, falling in four sets to No. 15 Northwestern, then sweeping Morningside in three.
- Dakota Wesleyan is averaging 14.02 kills per set and hitting .247 percent on the season.
- Ady Dwight leads the team in kills per set with 4.20 and in hitting percentage with a .364 percent.

- Dakota State comes to Mitchell with a 10-4 overall record, a 3-2 record in the North Star Athletic Conference, and 4-1 on the road.
- DSU split last week with a three-set sweep against Dickinson State, then a five-set loss of Valley City State at home.
- Dakota State is averaging 11.92 kills per set while hitting .217 percent.
