Sports Information Director

Bio

Matthew is in his first year serving as the Sports Information Director at Dakota Wesleyan University.

He joined the staff in June 2025 following a stint at Saint Martin's University (Wash.) as the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications. Prior to his time at SMU, he was the Director of Digital Marketing & Public Relations with the Portland Pickles baseball team from January of 2023 until April of 2024.

Matt previously graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University in May 2023 with degrees in Business Administration and Digital Media & Design and was a member of the football program for four years as a fullback. While a student, he interned with the Dakota Wesleyan Athletic Department, Portland Pickles, NAIAFBALL. Matt will be graduating with a Master's degree in Strategic & Digital Communications from the University of Tennessee in December 2025.

Matthew is originally from Tacoma, Washington and graduated from Fife High School in 2019.
