Heather Snavely Anderson was a four-year member of the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf program during the start of its era of dominance. The 2007 DWU graduate was a four-time All-GPAC First Team performer, and she helped lead the Tigers to four straight GPAC championships and NAIA Region III titles. With her help, Dakota Wesleyan won 31 tournaments in her four-year career. She had nine career tournament wins individually, including four each her junior and senior seasons. She finished sixth or better at the GPAC conference tournament all four seasons, including a runner-up finish her junior season, and was named the GPAC Golfer-of-the-Week nine times in her four-year career. The Winner, S.D, native was named the region golfer of the year in 2006, and was the first DWU golfer-male or female- to earn All-American honors in 2006 when she earned All-American Honorable Mention accolades. She played on four teams that qualified for the national tournament, including the 2003-04 team that finished 10th at the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championships- the highest finish at national in DWU women’s golf history. She was the first DWU golfer to be on a national qualifying team during all four seasons, and the second Tiger golfer to be named All-GPAC all four seasons.
Abbey DeWolf Mikkelsen

Abbey DeWolf Mikkelsen was instrumental in beginning of the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team, and she helped pave the way for a very successful future for the program. The 2005 DWU graduate was an All-GPAC First Team selection in each of her four seasons with the Tiger golf team, and led the Tigers to three straight GPAC titles in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Mikkelsen was a part of two NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship qualifying team, including the 2003-04 team that finished 10th at the national meet- the highest finish in school history and also the first-ever national tournament appearance for DWU in women’s golf. She was also a part of a team that still holds the school record for 18-hole team score (311). Mikkelsen was also a four-year member of the DWU women’s basketball team and was a four-time All-GPAC selection for basketball. Mikkelsen still holds four women’s basketball records: three-pointers in a game (8), three-point accuracy in a season (.452), games played in a career (141) and three-pointers in a career (230). Mikkelsen was a part of the only three national tournament appearances in Tiger women’s basketball history.
