General: Schmidt enters his fourth year with DWU and will be looked at as a leader in the defensive backfield.
Redshirt Sophomore (2019): Notched 16 total tackles and eight solo tackles in nine games played ... finished the season with a tackle for loss ... tallied four pass deflections on the year ... recorded his best game against Jamestown with three tackles.

High School: He recorded 108 tackles and 10 interceptions on defense and rushed for 1,471 yards, passed for 1,942 yards and scored 54 total touchdowns ... was a three-time Cornbelt All-Conference member, an All-State Honorable Mention quarterback, a Team MVP and a Defensive MVP ... an Honor Roll member throughout high school ... a member of National Honor Society ... also a member of the Titans basketball and track teams for six years.

MITCHELL, S.D. – For the second-consecutive season, senior Spencer Neugebauer (Mitchell, S.D.) was named to the Great Plains Athletic Conference Team for offense and special teams, while five total players of the Dakota Wesleyan University football team were tabbed to the All-GPAC Team, it was announced by the conference Wednesday.

MITCHELL, S.D. – Scoring a pair of touchdowns both through the air and on the ground, the Dakota Wesleyan University football team defeated conference foe Concordia University by a score of 28-17 Saturday afternoon at Joe Quintal Field in Mitchell. DWU finishes the season with an overall record of 4-5 as Saturday’s matchup concluded the 2020 campaign.

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University football team will hit the road for the second-straight week looking to knock off Northwestern College at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Orange City, Iowa. Each team will be equally motivated, as both enter the contest seeking their first win of the year.

HASTINGS, Neb. – With excitement in the air for the return of the college football season, the Dakota Wesleyan University football team took on Hastings College, the same team they trounced in the season-finale last year. However, the result was not the same as DWU fell to Hastings, 45-7 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference opener on Saturday at Lloyd Wilson Field in Hastings, Neb.
