Redshirt Senior (2023): started in all 11 games in the secondary for the Tigers and earned GPAC All-Conference Second Team honors ... This is DeJong second time being named to the All-Conference team after being named to the First Team and being an All-American a season ago ... DeJong turned in another strong season with his tied career-high 45 total tackles to go with two interceptions which pushed his career total to nine while also forcing two fumbles and recovering one ... started the season off with a bang, leaving right where he left off last season with back-to-back games with an interception against Dakota State (8/26/23) and Hastings (9/2/23) ... recorded a season-high seven total tackles twice on the year against Concordia (9/23/23) and No. 1 Northwestern (11/4/23).
Redshirt Junior (2022): started all 11 games in the secondary for the Tigers and received GPAC First Team All-Conference honors...finished the season with seven interceptions which is currently still the top mark in all the NAIA and GPAC...added 45 total tackles, 2.5 TFL and four pass breakups...top performance of the year was his school record tying three interception game (two returned for touchdowns) against Briar Cliff (10/15/22) to help the Tigers to their first win of the season...DeJong also recorded a stat stuffer game against No. 17 Midland (10/22/22) where he had season highs eight total tackles and 2.0 TFL while also adding an interception...finished his career with 92 total tackles, 7.0 TFL, one fumble recovery, eight interceptions and six pass breakups.
Junior (2021): Appeared in five games for the Tigers… recorded nine tackles and one tackle for a loss of two yards.
Sophomore (2020): Appeared in nine games for the Tigers… Recorded 27 unassisted tackles and 11 assisted tackles… Notched 3.5 tackles for a loss.
Freshman (2019): Played in 10 games ... tallied 15 tackles and 11 solo tackles ... recorded one interception ... tallied two tackles in six different games.
High School: A two-year starter for the Arrows, while competing in football for four seasons ... All-Conference Team defensive back ... named All-State Honorable Mention and the Champion of Arrows winner ... tabbed Academic All-State after making the honor roll with a 4.0 GPA ... member of the National Honor Society and a two-time Student of the Mont ... also participated in track and field for four years and basketball for four seasons.
