Wiegel tied for second at GPAC Fall Qualifier

Leading the way for the Tigers is freshman Nolan Wiegel (Huron, S.D.) who sits tied for second out of 54 golfers. Wiegel tallied a 70 on day one and a 71 on the second day for a total of 141 on the round.
Tied at 44th is Cade Carpenter (Mitchell, S.D.) and Justice Morrison (Norris, S.D.) who have a two-day total of 163. Jayden Engels (Watertown, S.D.) is not far behind after carding an 81 and 85 through the two days, good for 49th place. Bennett Lundy (Aberdeen, S.D.) finished in 51st place with a total of 172.
Northwestern College sits in first place as a team, while Morningside College is in second place. The final two rounds of the GPAC Championship will be held on April 23 and 24 at the Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, S.D.
The next meet for the DWU men's golf team is at the Tournament Club of Iowa in Des Moines, Iowa, hosted by Grandview University.
