Bio

General: A fourth-year member of the DWU men’s soccer program … comes into his final campaign with the Tigers as the top goalie and will look to lead a team that seeks to move to the top of the GPAC.

Junior (2014): Played in 18 games and started 17 with a record of 8-9-1 … completed the season with five shutouts … made 89 saves with for a save percentage of .795 … was named GPAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week on Sept. 9, 2014 … recorded three straight shutouts early in the season for the Tigers … finished the season with five shutouts.

Sophomore (2013): Played in 17 games … had 92 saves and gave up 23 goals for a save percentage of .800.

Freshman (2012): Played in 10 games and went 2-5-2 as a freshman in 2012 … made 77 saves and gave up 21 goals for a save percentage of .786 … averaged 2.03 goals against per game.

High School: A two-time letter winner for the Knights … a Class AA First Team All-State selection … also played club soccer for the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club … part of the 2009 and 2010 state championship teams.

Personal: Born Feb. 10, 1994 … son of Scott and Susan Nelson … undecided on a major.
