TIGERS HOST FIRST HOME GOLF MEET IN OVER TEN YEARS, DAY ONE RESULTS FROM DWU SPRING INVITE

Mitchell, S.D. –

The Dakota Wesleyan golf team hosted their first home tournament in over ten years and the Tiger golfers took advantage of the home course. Even in rainy conditions at Lakeview Golf Course, two DWU golfers on the men's and women's teams took advantage of the home course and are in the top five after round one. Peyton Bettcher and Juan Florez lead their team as they are tied with a score of 74 through the first 18 holes while Kaylee Johnson and Erin Moncur are third and fourth on the women's side. The women's team is sitting third out of six teams so far with an 18-stroke lead ahead of the fourth place squad. The men are in second, only five strokes behind the first-place team.
