Sand Creek Intercollegiate Recap

Newton, Kan. - The Tigers women's golf team took part in the Sand Creek Intercollegiate earlier this week and had another solid showing. The Sand Creek golf match took place in Newton, Kansas. The women Tigers finished with a collective score of +106. Placing them third overall. 

Here's a breakdown of the individual performances:

- Allison Meyerink: 2nd place with a score of +12. Meyerink finished the first day in 3rd, but found a way to move up a spot in a close scoring. 
- Sara Sudenga: 8th place with a score of +22. Sudenga had a strong second day as she, herself, moved up 7 spots in the  match.
- Ashton Austreim: 15th place with a score of +31. Austreim moved up from 16th to 15th place inividually. 
- Kaylee Johnson: 19th place with a score of +41. Johnson held off her position tied for 19th on the second day in the intercolegiate match. 
- Kelsey Morrison: 26th place with a score of +61.

Up Next for Women Tigers: 

They will join men golf to compete in the Hardrocker Fall Invite. The invite will take place on the golf course at Red Rock. Located in Rapid City, South Dakota on September 16 and 17.
