ABBY MAGNUSON TRACK & FIELD STATS

BASKETBALL-

Junior (2022-23): Appeared in 13 games at the forward position for the Tigers...played a season-high five minutes three times during the 2022-23 campaign...recorded a season-high two rebounds vs. Midland (1/11/23) and at Midland (2/11/23)...was named a 2022-23 Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete.

Sophomore (2021-22): Saw action in 20 games including 11 GPAC appearances … registered four made field goals … converted six attempts from the free-throw line … snagged 19 total rebounds … secured three steals and a pair of blocks.

Freshman (2020-21): Scored 22 points in 14 games played … shot 66.7% from the free-throw line along with six made field goals … season-high six points against Doane … tallied 18 rebounds including eight offensive rebounds … registered a pair of blocks and assists … finished with four steals ... a crucial member of the junior varsity team. 

TRACK & FIELD-

Senior Indoor (2023-24):  Threw in seven meets in her first season of Indoor track & field … Qualified for the National Meet in women’s shot put where she threw 13.70m and finished 10th … broke the school record for the third time with her personal best throw of 14.97m that she threw at the DWU Alumni Meet … threw a PB of 14.74m in the weight throw at the DWU Alumni Meet. Won shot put in the GPAC Indoor Championships and the DWU Alumni Meet … Named All-Conference in the shot-put ... Placed 5th overall at NAIA nationals, earning All-American. 

Junior Outdoor (2023): Competed in nine meets...qualified for nationals in the shot put with her career-best toss of 13.36m at the Loper Twilight (5/13/23)...earned two All-Conference honors with her 13.08m mark in the shot put and career-best mark of 41.17m in the discus at the GPAC Outdoor Championships (5/5-6/23)

Sophomore Outdoor (2022): Competed in eight meets...had a career best throw in the discus of 39.27m at the Loper Twilight (5/14/22)...recorded a career-best 12.37m toss in the shot put at the Rittgers Invite (4/15/22)

Freshman Outdoor (2021): Competed in five meets for the Tigers … collegiate best in the shot put at the USD Early Bird (10.55m, 34-7.5) … season best in the discus throw at the Northern State University Spring Open (35.24, 115-7)

High School: Averaged 15 points and nine rebounds per game her senior season ... named All-Region her junior and senior years ... voted as Team MVP ... 'A' Honor Roll student, Student of the Month honoree and Student-Athlete Award winner ... three-year starter in basketball ... also competed in track and field.
