Tigers pick up 10th win, roll Saints in 4

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's volleyball team got off to a slow start against the Presentation College Saints in a nonconference matchup, but DWU rallied back to defeat the Saints in four sets on Wednesday night in Aberdeen, S.D.

In set one, Presentation topped DWU 22-25. The Tigers ran away with the next three sets, 25-13, 25-12, 25-12. The win pushes DWU to 10-4 overall in 2016.

DWU was led by three Tigers with double-digit kills, led by senior Lauren Tadlock (Rapid City, S.D.) with 22 kills and 15 digs, good for a double-double. Freshman Becky Frick (Yankton, S.D.) continued her strong play with 11 kills, while senior Dana Misiaszek (Mitchell, S.D.) added 10 kills.

Senior Michelle Van Epps (Lakefield, Minn.) finished with 39 assists and 13 digs, while senior Libero Taylor Spence (North Branch, Minn.) tallied 35 digs in the four-set win. Senior Emily Pengilly (Watertown, S.D.) recorded 20 digs in the DWU backcourt.

The Tigers (10-4) welcome instate rival Dakota State University at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D.
