Dwight named AVCA Region Freshman of the Year, NAIA All-American

MITCHELL, S.D.– The list of accolades continues to pour in for Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball freshman Ady Dwight (Langford, S.D.). She has most recently been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) West Central Region Freshman of the Year and West Central All-Region First Team, while also being named NAIA All-American Honorable Mention.

Volleyball falls in first GPAC quarterfinal appearance

SEWARD, Neb. – After a record-setting fall, including a plethora of firsts for the program, the (RV) Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team eyed a spot in the Great Plains Athletic Conference semifinals as they battled No. 10 Concordia University on Saturday. However, the impressive season came to a close after dropping straight sets to Concordia in the GPAC quarterfinals in Seward, Neb.

Wilber announces recruiting class for 2021

MITCHELL, S.D. – After a historic 2020 season, the Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team has solidified its recruiting class for the 2021 season with 11 new signees. According to head volleyball coach Lindsay Wilber, this year’s recruiting class is an athletic class with a great amount of potential and is expected to have an immediate impact on the program.

Dwight named Freshman-of-the-Year, four Tigers named All-GPAC

MITCHELL, S.D. – In her first season, freshman Ady Dwight (Langford, S.D.) made an immediate impact as she highlighted the Great Plains Athletic Conference postseason awards for the Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team. Dwight is the first player in program history to be named the GPAC Freshman-of-the-Year, as three other DWU volleyball players were tabbed to the All-GPAC Team, the conference announced Thursday.

MITCHELL, S.D. – Any farmer knows and expects an extraordinary amount of time and care are required for producing a successful and bountiful harvest. From covering the field with the initial seed, irrigating the vast emerging stocks throughout the blistering summer, to weeding out harmful pests and weeds and every task in between. Volleyball makes quick work of Flames, punches ticket to GPAC tournament

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team wasted no time Friday evening defeating College of Saint Mary 3-0 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play at the Corn Palace in the final home match of 2020. The win not only keeps DWU in seventh place, but also secures a bid in the GPAC tournament for the first time in program history.

CRETE, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team traveled south for a pair of matches against Hastings College and Doane University. DWU split the weekend matches as they defeated Hastings in five sets and lost to Doane in five sets on Friday and Saturday.
