She has most recently been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) West Central Region Freshman of the Year and West Central All-Region First Team, while also being named NAIA All-American Honorable Mention.
The list of accomplishments continues to grow after one of the most impressive freshman seasons in DWU volleyball history. Following the fall season, Dwight was named the first Great Plains Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year in program history.
After the NAIA Volleyball Postseason Tournament concluded this spring, the NAIA All-American list and AVCA All-Region Teams were announced. The 6-foot middle blocker was named one of 14 athletes to the AVCA West Central All-Region Team. She was also named the West Central Region Freshman of the Year.
Released on Tuesday, the list of NAIA All-Americans hit the press as Dwight made the list as one of the NAIA All-American Honorable mention members. She now becomes just the fifth member of the DWU volleyball program to be named an NAIA All-American.
"Ady deserves all of the credit she has received over the year," head volleyball coach Lindsay Wilber said of her freshman. "She is a hard worker, coachable and talented. It will be exciting to continue to watch her grow as a player over the next three years."
Dwight ranked fifth in the GPAC with 3.2 kills per set and was 13th in the conference with 244 kills on the season. She also led the team in kills and blocks with 84 total blocks on the season.
