Tigers handle Mustangs on the road
AGENCY VILLAGE, S.D. – In their third-straight road game, the (RV) Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team hit the road and traveled north, taking on Sisseton Wahpeton College in nonconference action. The Tigers cruised to a 90-57 victory Wednesday in Agency Village, S.D.

In the opening minutes of the game, senior Jason Spicer (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Collin Kramer (Volga, S.D.) made their presence known as they scored nine of the Tigers first 11 points of the game.
In the final seven minutes of the first half, the Tigers (7-4, 1-2 GPAC) found their offensive firepower as they ended the half on a 21-9 run capped off by a Tyson Smiley (Omaha, Neb.) 3-pointer and a Nygel Drury (Madison, Wis.) layup at the buzzer.
DWU picked up where they left off to begin the second half with a blaze of points. Smiley found his rhythm on the offensive end as he scored seven points in a matter of minutes and helped push the Tigers to victory on the road.
Smiley led the way off the bench with 15 points, four assists and three rebounds, while Spicer added 14 points and six assists. Kramer tallied 12 points and five rebounds, as Drury notched 10 points and four rebounds.
The Tigers finished the game shooting 55 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range. DWU held the Mustangs to 38 percent shooting overall and 31 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
DWU returns to GPAC action as they host Doane University at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D.
