MORE PERSONAL BESTS FOR TIGER TRACK AND FIELD IN FINAL REGULAR SEASON MEET
Kearney, Neb. – Dakota Wesleyan track and field posts one more national qualifier in the women's hammer throw in final meet of the regular season.
How It Happened
Katlyn Briggs started the day off for the Tigers with a ninth-place finish in the women's discus throw with her best mark of 120 feet and five inches. Abby Magnuson hit a new personal best in the discus throw with a mark of 128 feet and ten inches for a sixth-place finish. Darby Deffenbaugh placed seventh with a throw going 126 feet and seven inches. Lila Gronseth rallied to an eighth-place finish with a mark of 106 feet and five inches. Morgan Taft reached an NAIA "A" standard in the women's hammer throw after a third-place finish tossing a mark of 165 feet and nine inches. Briggs rang up a fifth-place finish in the hammer throw after a mark of 158 feet and ten inches. Darby Deffenbaugh hit a personal best in the hammer throw as well with a seventh-place finish tossing a mark of 151 feet and ten inches. Caden Milmine placed eighth in the men's shot with a mark of 51 feet and seven inches. Adaya Plastow set a new personal best again in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.24, placing fifth.

Dakota Wesleyan track and field now looks to the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala.. Nationals will kick off May 25. The Tigers have five national qualifiers heading south in less than two weeks. Lia Guigui will compete in the high jump, Taft in the hammer throw, Gronseth in the shotput, Briggs in the discus and hammer throw, and Caden Milmine in the men's shotput.
