Assistant Coach Roger Malonda Thoughts:
"I thought the men had a very solid day on a very tough and hilly course. Given how the week started, with potentially not having the full squad with couple setbacks, the team had a strong showing. Impressive first race by Justin Sorensen, after months of dealing with injury, he'll be helping us big time later in the season. Hunter and Layne committed to the game plan and brought it home in the last part of the race for a second place in the team standings. Our front guys, Wyatt and Caleb took care of business. They committed to having a statement performance this weekend, and they delivered; very difficult task to do in one of the toughest courses in the NAIA. Great second half by Wyatt, who had himself a career day, always nice to get a first college win."
Head Coach Matt Rosado Quote:
"The guys have been looking forward to making a statement and moving the program forward. Today was a great start for those to take notice. A big win over a conference school is fuel for November."
