Women’s golf takes first at Buena Vista Invite
STORM LAKE, Iowa – After trailing by nine shots after day one, the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team stormed back to win the Buena Vista Invite by one stroke on Friday and Saturday in Storm Lake, Iowa.

The Tigers finished with a 682 through the tournament, good for a first-place finish over 10 other teams.
Megan Hinker (Lennox, S.D.) had an impressive second day as she carded a 77 after recording an 87 on the first day. She finished with a 164, just one stroke shy of second place and four shots back from the winner.
Ashley Zimmer (Mitchell, S.D.) took seventh place after finishing with a 169. Jordan Glanzer (Howard, S.D.) was not far behind as she tallied a 170 through two days, good for eighth place.
Ronae Klein (Winner, S.D.) tied for 19th after erupting for an 83 on the second day after finishing with a 96 on the opening day. Jayden Bormann (Parkston, S.D.) rounded out the top five for the Tigers as she tied for 31st with a two-day total of 186.
The Tigers will compete next at the GPAC Fall Championships on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 in Vermillion, S.D.
