Lamer qualifies for NAIA Outdoor National Championships
MITCHELL, S.D. – After a solid performance at the Dordt Twilight Meet on Friday, sophomore Kamberlyn Lamer (Hartford, S.D.) qualified for the 37th Annual NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.
MITCHELL, S.D. – After a solid performance at the Dordt Twilight Meet on Friday, sophomore Kamberlyn Lamer (Hartford, S.D.) qualified for the 37th Annual NAIA Women's Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.
Lamer brought home a second-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 18-1.75-feet, marking a personal best, while also breaking the school record. Lamer also helped the Tigers to a first-place finish in the 4x100. She also took second in the 100-hurdles in 15.35.
Freshman Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) was .5 centimeters shy of qualifying in the long jump with a leap of 17-10.5-feet, marking the second-best jump in school history.
The championships begin on May 25 and conclude on May 27 at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores, Ala.
The long jump will take place on May 26 at 5:30 p.m. (CT). Fans can watch live on the NAIA Network.
