DWIGHT TABBED AS AVCA WEST CENTRAL ATTACKER OF THE YEAR; WHILE DWIGHT AND ELSE HONORED AS ALL-REGION PLAYERS
Lexington, KY – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 2022 NAIA AVCA All-Region award winners today; among the honorees from 10 different regions, the Tigers of Dakota Wesleyan Volleyball, posted two athletes to the west central list with Ady Dwight and Madeline Else. In addition to being named as an All-Region honoree; the AVCA also voted Dwight as the West Central Attacker of the Year.

In addition to being named as an All-Region honoree; the AVCA also voted Dwight as the West Central Attacker of the Year.
The Tigers senior setter, Else heads into tonight's match with 1,361 season assists averaging out to 11.83 assists per set in her 115 sets played up to this point in the season. She has also been strong on the defensive front for DWU volleyball in her senior season, recording 261 digs and 53 total blocks thus far.
The West Central All-Region honoree and West Central Attacker of the Year, Dwight has been a staple for Dakota Wesleyan Volleyball again this season leading the team in kills (548), kills per set (4.77), total blocks (121), and blocks per set (1.05).
The Tigers look at their final pool play match of the 2022 NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship match tonight at 7 p.m. against the Pioneer of MidAmerica Nazarene as they look to advance into the quarterfinal round of the national tournament for the first time in program history.
