General: Looks to build off a promising freshman campaign in year two with the Tigers.
Freshman (2019-20): Saw playing time in 13 games ... averaged 5.4 minutes per contest ... knocked down three 3-pointers and recorded four assists.
High School: Named conference MVP three times while playing for Bridgewater-Emery High School ... the Coaches Association Class “B” Basketball Player-of-the-Year in 2019 ... in his career, Schultz tallied 1,876 points, 709 rebounds, 411 assists, 267 steals and 103 blocks ... during his senior season, he averaged 23 points, 9.5 rebounds, four assists, 2.5 steals and a block per game ... led his team to a state championship in 2017 with an undefeated season of 26-0 ... finished in third place in 2018 and 2019 at the South Dakota Class “B” State Basketball Tournament ... named All-State First Team and All-Tourney Team three times ... a three-time Daily Republic Player-of-the-Year honoree, a South Dakota Mr. Basketball finalist, a two-time Argus Leader First Five member and an Academic All-State player ... a National Honor Society member ... a four-year starter in basketball ... also a three-time letterwinner in football and a two-time letter recipient in track ... earned All-Conference and All-State in football ... a four-event state qualifier in track.
