What to know for DWU women’s basketball’s opening round game
MITCHELL, S.D. – With the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team punching the ticket to its fifth consecutive NAIA Women’s Basketball National Tournament, the Tigers open play against Indiana Wesleyan University in the opening round of the tournament at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

How to buy tickets and how to watch
Tickets can be purchased either online at www.naia.org, or they can be purchased at the door for $15/adults or $7 for students (5-college). If you can't make it out to the Tyson Events Center to watch the Tigers play, the NAIA will have the games live streamed. Click HERE for the link to the live stream and stats. Who the Tigers play
DWU plays Indiana Wesleyan University from Marion, Indiana out of the Crossroads League. The Wildcats made the national tournament by way of an at-large bid after a 23-9 record this season.
They lead the country with 30.4 defensive rebounds per game and rank 12th nationally with a +7.7 rebound margin and with a 44.9% field-goal percentage. The Wildcats hold teams to 59.3 points per game and average 67.6 points per contest.
Leading the team is Dayton Groninger who averages 14.2 points and 2.4 assists per game. She also ranks 39th in the NAIA with a 38.5% 3-point percentage. Also pacing the Wildcats is Anne Secrest as she leads the team with 5.5 rebounds per game and is second on the team with 10.6 points per game.
