Tigers ready for final road game

The Game
The first time these teams met, DWU cruised to a 72-55 victory at the Corn Palace. The Tigers outscored the Lancers 36-14 in the paint and outrebounded MMU 46-25. Leading the way was Jada Campbell (Alexandria, S.D.) as she recorded a double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds, while Matti Reiner (Tripp, S.D.) posted 21 points and nine boards.
Campbell continues to pace the Tigers with 8.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. She ranks 14th nationally with 38 blocks this season and ranks second in the GPAC in field-goal percentage and blocks per game, while leading the conference in offensive rebounds per contest.
Kaylee Kirk (Balaton, Minn.) is the floor general for DWU and leads the team with 5.1 assists and 2.6 steals per game. She ranks fifth nationally with 113 assists this year and is 12th in the NAIA in assists per game. Kirk also leads the GPAC in assists per game and total assists.
The Tigers boast one of the best defenses in the conference as they rank second allowing 61.6 points per game hold teams to a conference-low 35.9% shooting from the floor. As a team, DWU ranks 13th in the NAIA with 358 assists on the season and are 14th nationally with 88 blocks this year.
The Coaches
Jason Christensen is in his 11th season at the helm of the women's basketball program and boasts over 200 wins in his career and has recorded six 20-win seasons.
Todd Schlimgen is in his fourth season as the head coach after spending 10 years as an assistant coach. Prior to joining the Lancers, he served as a coach at Sisseton High School.
The Series
The Lancers lead the all-time series played between the schools 46-33. Dakota Wesleyan has won 10-straight contests in the series dating back to the 2015-16 season.
Scouting the Mount Marty Lancers
The Lancers are 4-19 overall and have a record of 2-18 in conference contests. They rank 20th in the NAIA with 171 made 3-pointers this season and are sixth in the conference with 2.6 blocks per game.
Karlee McKinney leads the team with 13.5 points, 2.5 assists and 0.8 steals per game. She averages 40.6% shooting from the field and has a career high 24 points against Presentation College this season. Peyton Stolle leads the defense as she ranks 24th in the NAIA with 32 blocks and averages 1.6 blocks per game.
