TIGERS COME OUT ON TOP OVER D-2 COUGARS, 26-24

Dakota Wesleyan Men's wrestling pulled out the win in their dual against the University of Sioux Falls, 26-24. Aric Williams and Trevion Sample made their season debut, and each won their matches. Three Tigers pulled of wins via fall or technical fall in the matchup over the D-2 school to add points on the board for DWU. This dual wraps up the 2023 portion of the season for the (RV) Tigers.

Aric Williams and Trevion Sample were able to make their DWU debut after sitting the first semester out and made their presence known in a big way. Williams pinned his opponent just before the three-minute mark, giving him his first win of the season. Sample was the last wrestler for DWU and made a statement, defeating his opponent 19-4 and giving the Tigers the team win. Lane Miller continues to dominate the mat as he also picked up a fall victory in the 174-weight class.
Up Next for the Tigers –
The Tigers will take a break for the holidays and will hit the mats again in January 2024. The first match back will be on the road on January 6th at the Avila Duals. Time and location to be announced.
