DAY 2 RESULTS OF DWU MEN’S WRESTLING AT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS: WILLIAMS EARNS ALL AMERICAN HONORS
Park City, Kansas –
Aric Williams continued to impress at the 2024 NAIA Men's Wrestling Championships this afternoon. After dropping his quarter final bout in the morning, he upset another ranked opponent to gain All American Honors. After earning the honors, Aric would drop his second match of the tournament. He will now have a chance to wrestler for 7th place Trevion Sample lost both of his matches this afternoon after facing the No.1 and No.11 wrestlers in the nation.

141 – In the quarterfinal bout, Aric Williams would face his first unranked opponent of the tournament and would be defeated by one point (5-4). In the first round of the consolation bracket for Aric, he faced the No. 16 wrestler in the nation. Going into the third period, the two were tied up at 5-5. With a late reversal, Williams took the lead and would move on. After Aric claimed All American honors, his season would come to an end at the hands of a wrestler from Oklahoma City. No. 7 Cade Manion won by major decision over Williams.
285 – In the quarterfinal matchup, Trevion Sample would run into the two-time defending national champion, Greg Hagan. Hagan used his skill and experience and pin Trevion. Moved to the consolation bracket, Sample would now face the 11th ranked wrestler, Kenneth Copley of Embry-Riddle. Early in the second period, Sample would be pinned to the mat, drawing a close to his season.
