Volleyball inks recruiting class for 2020
MITCHELL, S.D. – Following a successful 2019 season, the Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team is ready to take the next step towards the 2020 season. The future looks bright for the Tigers, as the next class of athletes was announced Thursday by head volleyball coach Lindsay Wilber.

Ady Dwight
Freshman, 6-0, Langford, S.D., Langford High School, Middle Back
Dwight finished her career with 1,454 kills, 791 digs, 572 blocks and 217 aces. She was a four-year starter and was a Class 'B' Preseason Player of the Year finalist in both 2018 and 2019. She was a three-time All-Conference First Team selection and earned All-State First Team honors during the 2017 season. She holds a career serving percentage of 91%. She was an All-State Honorable Mention selection during the 2018 season followed by an All-State Second Team selection in 2019. She was also a 4.0 honor roll member throughout all four years of high school.
Khloe Tieman
Freshman, 5-7, Rutland, S.D., Rutland High School, Setter
Tieman was a four-year letterwinner and a three-year starter for Rutland High School. She finished her career with 1,048 set assists, 298 digs, 180 kills and 88 aces. She set a school record for serving percentage in a single season. She was a three-time All-Conference selection. Tieman played club volleyball for the CPAC as well as the ORR juniors. She is also a member of the National Honor Society.
Taylee Indahl
Freshman, 5-9, Burke, S.D., Burke High School, Outside Hitter
Indahl was a five-year letterwinner and starter. Throughout her career, she tallied 2,123 kills, 1,642 digs, 254 aces, 49 assist and 221 blocks. She holds a school record for most kills in a match with 25, as well as a school record for both career kills and digs. She was a member of the 1,500 digs and 2,000 kills club. A member of the Argus Leader Super 6 Second Team in 2018 and 2019. Indahl was named a nominee for the Argus Leader Volleyball Award as well as the Midco Sports Network for Player of the Year and Adrenaline Class 'B' Player of the Year in 2019. She was named the Daily Republic Player of the Year in 2019 and made All-State First Team in 2018 and 2019, as well as a Second Team selection during 2017. Indahl was selected to the Under Armour All-Region Team as well as a nominee for the Under Armour All-American Team. She was also named a candidate for Miss Volleyball 2019. She was a member of the state 'B' All-Tournament Team in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She also earned All-Conference honors in each of her five varsity seasons. Off the court, Indahl was a member of the National Honor Society as well as an Academic All-State selection.
Hailey Bleeker
6-0, Chester, S.D., Chester Area High School, Middle Back
The three-sport athlete finished her volleyball career with 86 kills, 71 blocks and 39 digs. She was a two-year volleyball letterwinner. During the 2019 state tournament, she tallied nine kills, seven blocks and two block assists. She ranked number four in blocks per set at the class 'B' State Tournament. Bleeker led her team to the 2019 State 'B' Consolation Championship. She was also named to the Academic All-State Team.
Tya Weideman
5-5, Mellette, S.D., Northwestern High School, Defensive Specialist
Weideman was a five-year letterwinner and a three-year starter. She was part of three state championship winning teams in class 'B', and one runner-up finish. She holds a school record for digs in a single season with 491 digs. During her career she tallied 864 digs, 146 aces, 802 serve receptions and a 94% serving percentage. She also played club volleyball for Matchbox and CPAC.
Mckenzie Buisker
6-0, Watertown, S.D., Watertown High School, Middle Back
Buisker was a three-year letterwinner and starter. During her career she notched 527 kills, 171 blocks and a .306 hitting percentage. Buisker guided her team to a 'AA' State Championship in 2019. She was a member of a third-place team in the 2018 'AA' State Tournament and placed fourth in the 2017 'AA' State Tournament. She was named to the All-Conference team during her senior season, as well as an All-State Second Team selection. She played her club volleyball for Elite Alliance and CPAC. Buisker was a Gold Honor Roll member throughout all four years of high school, as well as a member of the National Honor Society.
Emily Bies
5-6, Canova, S.D., McCook Central High School, Setter
A four-year letterwinner and a three-year starter, Bies recorded 2,260 set assists, 157 aces, 934 digs, 26 blocks and 88 kills throughout her career. She was a part of a team that set the record for most set assists and aces in 2018 and 2019. Her team finished fourth in the state tournament in 2019, third in 2018 and fifth in 2017. She was selected to the State Tournament All-Tournament Team in 2018. She earned All-Conference honors in both 2018 and 2019, as well as an All-State Second Team selection in 2019. She was a member of the National Honor Society.
Marissa Morris
5-9, Genoa, Neb., Twin River High School, Outside Hitter
Morris was a three-year letterwinner and starter for Twin River High School. Throughout her career she tallied 495 kills, 427 digs, 71 blocks and 59 aces. She was named All-Conference Second Team in 2018, followed by an All-Conference First Team selection in 2019. In 2019, she was also tabbed as a Nebraska All-State Honorable Mention selection. She was a George Eastman Young Leaders Award winner in 2019. Morris played club volleyball for Northeast Nebraska Power and was an Academic All-State selection.
Madison Kontz
5-7, Flandreau, S.D., Flandreau High School, Outside Hitter
In her career, she tallied 260 digs, 180 kills, 71 blocks and 30 aces. Kontz was a four-year letterwinner and a two-year starter for Flandreau. She was named All-Conference Honorable Mention following the 2019 season and also participated in 4H, as she was an eight-time state rodeo qualifier. Kontz was a member of the National Honor Society.
Katlyn Briggs
6-1, Plankinton, S.D., Mount Vernon Plankinton High School, Middle Back
She tallied 805 kills, 553 digs, 279 blocks, 42 assists and 33 aces throughout her career. Briggs was a four-year letterwinner and starter. She was a two-time All-Conference selection, as well as an Academic All-State selection in 2019. Briggs played club volleyball for CPAC.
Hanna Reiff
5-8, Chester, S.D., Northern State University, Defensive Specialist
Reif was a four-year starter and two-year team captain for the Chester Flyers. She was a part of a state championship winning team in class 'B' in 2015. She was a two-time All-State selection in 2017 and 2018, as well as a three-time All-Conference selection. She tallied the most digs at the state tournament in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Reif tallied 2,989 digs and 136 aces throughout high school with just 19 reception errors. At Northern State, she appeared in 31 sets and had 69 digs and two aces.
Julia Sanderson
6-0, Sioux Falls, S.D., Sioux Falls Christian High School, Setter
Sanderson was a two-year letterwinner and a one-year starter. She was a part of the 2017 'AA' State Championship team with the Harrisburg Tigers, before transferring to Sioux Falls Christian. Sanderson won another state championship with the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers in 2019. She played club volleyball for the Pentagon and Kairos. Throughout high school, she was a member of the 4.0 GPA Honor Roll, as well as a member of the National Honor Society.
