Schlicht takes first as Tigers compete in SMSU Mustang Open

Freshman Rex Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) finished with a first-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.72, good for the eighth fastest time in school history.
Jared Rabenberg (Britton, S.D.) competed in the high jump and took third with a jump of six-feet, four inches. Jon Harmening (Jackson, Minn.) took fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.65.
Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) finished the long jump with a leap of 17-feet and 2 ¼ inches, good for sixth and third farthest long jump in school history. Fellow freshman Mikaela Stofferahn (Dell Rapids, S.D.) took sixth in the discus with a toss of 124-feet and seven inches, the sixth farthest discus throw in school history.
Kamber Lamer (Hartford, S.D.) took home an eighth-place finish in the 100-meter high hurdles in 16.06, third fastest time in school history. She also had a seventh-place finish in the javelin throw with a toss of 100-feet and nine inches, while Meghan Travis (Minneota, Minn.) finished eighth in the javelin throw with a 93-foot and 10 inch throw. Travis also took fourth in the high jump with a leap of 4-feet and nine inches.
McKenna Rogers (Saint Michael, Minn.) brought home a seventh-place finish in the 800-meter dash in 2:29.93, eighth fastest time in school history.
The Tigers are back in action at the Dordt Invite Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa.
