Rogers and Longville tally first-place finishes at Dordt Invite

Freshman McKenna Rogers (St. Michael, Minn.) had another impressive weekend in her first campaign as a Tiger. Rogers tallied brought home first place in the 1,500-meter run, marking the fifth fastest time in school history in 5:06.84. Fellow freshman Mikaela Stofferahn (Dell Rapids, S.D.) took third in the shot put with a toss of 40-feet one and one-half inches (fifth farthest throw in school history. She has took second in discus with a throw of 133-feet and 11 inches (third farthest toss in school history). Stofferahn also took competed in the hammer throw and recorded a toss of 100-feet and one inch, good for the 10th farthest throw in school history.
Kristen Longville (Lake Preston, S.D.) recorded a first-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 10.76-meters.
Kristen Jennings (Canton, S.D.) took sixth in the shot put (38-feet, nine inches) for the eighth farthest toss in school history, fifth in the discus (119-feet and four inches) and had the fifth farthest throw in school history in the hammer throw with a toss of 113-feet and nine inches.
Heidi Frazee (Gillette, Wyo.) competed in the hammer throw and tallied a toss of 113-feet and six inches, good for the sixth farthest in program history.
Freshman Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) took eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.90 that marked the eighth fastest in school history.
On the men's side, Lane Tibbs (Kenesaw, Neb.) recorded a second-place finish in the steeple chase in 10:07.92 (sixth fastest in school history).
Jon Harmening (Jackson, Minn.) took fourth in the triple jump, while Jared Rabenberg (Britton, S.D.) took second in the triple jump and fifth in the high jump.
Jeremiah Panec (Kenesaw, Neb.) took sixth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:16.43.
DWU is back in action on Wednesday and Thursday at the Red Raider Open in Orange City, Iowa.
